CRIBS FOUNDATION, INC.
Is a non-profit organization licensed by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) providing a loving and safe environment for the abandoned, neglected, surrendered babies and female minor survivors of sexual abuse
History
CRIBS FOUNDATION, INC.
(formerly C.R.I.B.S. PHILIPPINES, INC.)
Started in 1974 when American missionary wives brought home two children from the Reception and Study Center (RSCC) of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD). The agency hoped that by having these children fostered, they would find adoptive families who would be happy to take them. In this way, CRIBS became the first non-government organization (NGO) in the Philippines to implement a Foster Care Program. Mrs. Rhoda Bradshaw was instrumental at that time in placing babies with their adoptive families.
